My son is in 8th grade and has done KJK every summer since kindergarten. I cannot say enough about this program. We finally brought KJK to his school, Crompond, and the kids loved the experience. It’s given him sense of himself and an ability to stand in front of any group and speak, perform or just talk. These are skills that will help him with whatever he wants to do in life. They are life long skills. I have my BA in Fine Arts from SUNY Purchase in Acting. I know what elements make up a good performing arts camp, KJK has built a theatre arts camp that builds confidence, community and a love of theatre, I cannot tell you how positive it has been for my son. I recommend it to everyone, especially boys, as they are often pushed into sports and not aware of how positive the performing arts experience can be in their lives. Public speaking is required in so many fields, what a way to give your son the opportunity to learn how to be in front of people and speak, in business, in finance, and in ones community. Its a talent for some, but for many a necessary skill.
