Violet Barnum
Violet Barnum (she/her) is a composer/songwriter, pianist, music director, and arranger from New York City, where she also currently resides. Having focused on composition as a highschooler, she is a proud alum of the Luna Composition Lab (2016-17) and the Curtis Young Artist Summer Program (2019). Violet recently received her Bachelors in Music from Yale University, where she sang in multiple choirs, music directed productions of Godspell and Fun Home, and led the all-senior SSAA a cappella group. She is the music director at Kate’s Summer Spotlight in Old Saybrook, CT, where she helps campers write songs for their original musicals with a one-week turnaround! Violet is very excited to be joining the KJK team.
